We’ve had few guests this Summer due to Covid but those who have been have left lovely messages in our guest book and another great review on AirBNB.
We have availability from mid September to the rest of the year so if you, like us, believe this weather will continue than it’d be the perfect time to come out and enjoy a French ‘Indian’ summer well in to October.
Beautiful house with amazing garden and fantastic pool
My partner and I stayed at Le Petit Capelier in September 2018 where the weather was still very warm.
It was my second visit to the house and there have been improvements since the first. New double doors to the living room and lots more useful items in the kitchen.
The house is deceptively large and would easily suit six people but we were lucky enough to enjoy it just between us.
The garden is entirely private and the pool is absolutely lovely and seems to be cleaned twice a week; we spent most days on the wooden loungers enjoying the tranquility and privacy.
We hired a car locally and managed to see Issigeac (amazing medieval village very close by), Chateau Bridoire and did some light shopping in Bergerac but mainly just stayed at the cottage where you really feel like you’re in the middle of deepest rural France (but actually you can get to Bergerac airport in twenty mins by car).

The house is a little paradise! Nicely decorated and well furnished. We enjoyed the pool and garden everyday. Having breakfast with the sound of birds was so relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure! The surroundings are wonderfull, lots of little charming villages.
