The French government have offered support to fleeing families and we think our little house would be ideal for a family of six.

Not too late to book that get away!

Due to a cancellation we now have a rare two weeks’ availability this late Summer at our little house from 28th August to 11th  September.  
Flights to Bergerac from all over the UK are relativly inexpensive currently (from £79) and hire car fees from the airport start at about €45 a day.  Twenty mins drive from Bergerac finds you at LPC and far away from the tourists, nestled in the most rural of the French Countryside. 
However you may prefer to drive over.  From London, if you put your foot down, you can be at LPC within about ten hours but when we drive over we like to stay in Tours or Le Mans overnight to break the journey up.  And French motorways are a dream compared with the road system in the UK with loads of great ‘Aire’ to park up in and grab a bite.

Strange times but we look forward to happier days

We are contacting you today because we would like to hear from you.
As you know, we have been forced to close since early March and our next bookings are not until June but naturally those remain precarious. Whilst all Summer is currently booked out now we can’t confidently rely on all those bookings to be honoured; we await the policies of AirBNB/Trip Advisor etc to be determined.
We are doing our best to take advantage of the time we now have to do mowing, strimming and planting and general maintenance work that we were unable to do beforehand.
But to see LPC empty and lifeless is so strange and upsetting.

We will send you secure bank transfer details and upon receipt of the payment we’ll email the voucher to you which will be redeemable against any future booking but the value will be 10% more. Meaning that if you buy a voucher for £100 the value will be £110 when you redeem it. Last two weeks in early Summer still available

Calling all fans of LPC: We only have two sequential weeks still available this Summer from Saturday 19th June to Saturday 4th July. While this won’t be of much good cheer to those with young children it does mean that those unencumbered by the school dates can still reserve their ideal get-away-from-it-all break in the French country side (less than half an hour from the nearest airport (Bergerac) and served by Southampton, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, London City, Southend, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exceter, Leeds, Liverpool and Rotterdam, Brussels and Nice).

Up and coming maintenance at LPC

We’ve had no less than four enquiries for New Year and early January but I’m afraid due to some rough treatment of the house from recent guests we are in need of some maintenance. Please expect Le Petit Capelier to be available from 14th January. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Nous avons reçu pas moins de quatre demandes de renseignements pour le Nouvel An et le début de janvier, mais je crains que, du fait du traitement brutal de la maison par les clients récents, nous ayons besoin d’entretien. Attendez-vous à ce que Le Petit Capelier soit disponible à partir du 14 janvier. Mes excuses pour le derangement.

Please note two weeks in July (13th to 27th) and Aug (3rd to 17th) are already booked so please do get in touch to secure your stay for Summer this year.

5% discount for Summer if booked in April

Le Petit Capelier was almost fully booked through the Summer of 2017 from mid June to mid September.  We’re expecting similar interest this year and as we’ve taken bookings for six weeks of the Summer already we think it likely that the cottage will be popular once again for 2018.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to escape to rural France with not a care in the world (aside from how delicious your next meal might be, what wine to have with your camembert or whether to swim before breakfast or after lunch) then now might be the time.

Direct bookings taken during the whole of April 2018 for stays between May and September 2018 will be subject to a 5% fee reduction (compared with Trip Advisor’s costs, not including cleaning fee or returnable deposit).
